Missed opportunities accompany blame.

When others are at fault, you lose ground for growth. When you own your part of the failure, you advance your learning and become better.

If your intention is to excel at personal growth, then own your contribution to mistakes and troubles.

Pride may go before the fall, but humility precedes greatness.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider a recent disagreement or power struggle you are engaged in. Be honest with yourself when answering this: what part do you own and what is your emotional agenda? Once you own that, determine the lesson this opportunity brings you then choose to release the struggle.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
