| The Tao Chapter 76 – My Third Interpretation|
A visible palm shows openness—a willingness to let go of what is past and allow the change that seeks to be received.
A tight first represents rigidity.
Since change is inevitable that fist will open with pain and suffering.
We are born to nature’s unchanging intention of change. No baby can remain. No toddler holds in that stage. No adolescent, young adult or grown person.
Physical change is a must as a part of the process of life. Do you not know then that the non-physical accompanies the physical?
Relieve yourself of the pain and suffering.
Show your palm and accept what will with grace.
Allow the freedom of growth for your life to expand.
LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider the change have you been resisting. How much mental energy has it consumed? How much pain has it created? Since change is inevitable and you do not control life’s flow, why do you fight what will?
My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my third reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
Embrace your journey. Experience bliss. Live the Tao.
