Allow Life to Happen

If you try to control the direction of a situation, or force a person in your direction, you do not understand the flow of life. When pressure is created, a release must occur. Therefore, the counter to your force is inevitable.

The wise knows to allow the outcome according to life’s flow. She works with intention, then allows the result to manifest as it wills, not according to her will.

The attempt to dominate a circumstance, in the end, is futile. Instead, be in alignment with your heart’s voice. It will comfort you in accepting life as it shall be.

Accept life as it comes and you will experience grace in its flow.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider a situation where you have expended energy trying to make something happen, then listen to your heart’s guidance. Have you done all you can or more than enough? If so, exhale releasing your grip and let what will happen to happen.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
