| The Tao Chapter 14 – My Second Interpretation |

While the physical you were formed in the womb, the non-physical you existed before that. Where did it come from?

There are no coordinates to map, no place to plant your feet.

You are not able to say “I—the true self—was formed here or there” on a physical plane.

Your non-physical self was not born in the sky, nor were you born in the ocean.

Where your true self came from cannot be touched. It is a continuous place with no beginning or end.

Your true self came from and will return to infinity.

Therefore, at this point in consciousness of time, your awareness of the moment is what matters most.

LIVING THE TAO: Today as you feel yourself become worked up over an outcome, stop and ask yourself, “when I leave this earth, will this issue really matter?” If the answer is no, then let it go and allow the outcome to unfold as it will.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
