| The Tao Chapter 27 – My Second Interpretation |

All experiences happen for your benefit—those that offer pleasure and also discomfort. All.

The concept of non-attachment is for you to learn how to flow with the direction of life.

If the direction is north when you desire west, ask. If it is east when you want south, seek. Open yourself to the lesson by asking, “What am I to learn from this flow?” Then wait. The answer will come.

In all things, there is a lesson on the other side. Worrying about the outcome does not serve you. Fretting about what if is  resistance to what life holds for you. And note, what life holds may not be as you see  it. What life holds, aligns with what you cannot see–your soul’s purpose.

So, soften your strong will, bend in your rigidity, and allow the outcome that best suits you, knowing that in end, this is what best suits all that are involved.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider an outcome you are hoping for. See yourself on the other side of the outcome feeling grateful for its lesson whatever it may be, knowing it is the best outcome for the situation. This is a way to practice non-attachment and allowing life.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
