The outward expression of inner wisdom that is from Divine Guidance is rarely understood. The wise rely on this wisdom for their own affairs and when working with others. The wise recognizes this wisdom exists in all and silently connects with it, while allowing the appearances of outward distractions to fall away.

And while this inner wisdom can be rarely understood, it is mostly honored because the actions that come from it is a benefit to its witnesses.

When your actions are divinely guided, your choices uplift yourself and others.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider a direction you feel you should take that others do not understand, then contemplate the long-term results. Are they a benefit to you? Will others be uplifted? Then go with your guidance.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
