| The Tao Chapter 78 – My Second Interpretation|

Rest from the frustration of trying to change someone who is rigid in their thoughts and actions. That person will soon break from the dryness brought on by their inflexible posture.

While trying to help is a good thing, it is not always the best thing.

The one who is inflexible will either awaken and learn or wither and pass.

But the wise knows it is better to yield and be patient than combat inflexibility.

Softness gives way and endures. Rigidity hardens and breaks. Soften your stance.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider a disagreement you’ve been in with a stubborn person and remember that what is brittle, breaks. Let them be in their ways. Know they are experiencing pain in some form. Show them compassion.
