| The Tao Chapter 45 – My Second Interpretation |
Authenticity can face rejection.
What is unreal is lauded as truth and what is real is criticized as foolishness.
The unreal puffs up the ego and is pleasing to the senses. The real presents a challenge to the ego and may ask you to deny immediate gratification.
The wise want the truth.
The wise accepts what is real.
Accepting what is real brings ease to life’s flow.
Get out of your way by releasing what is unreal.
Be wise.
LIVING THE TAO: Today, as you engage in different conversations, silently ask yourself “in the end, is this what really matters?” This exercise will help you determine more and more the real from the unreal.
