Sometimes, in order to move forward, you’ve got to let go of what is behind you. But what’s behind you is your comfort zone and fear may want to keep you there.
If you’re honest, moving out beyond your comfort zone can scare you stuck! Why? Because it means moving toward the unknown and thinking about the unknown can make you want to think about something else–anything else!
Fear can bind you if you let it. So don’t let it! Easier said than done, I know, yet there’s something you can do.
You can talk to it. That’s right, you can talk to your fear. You can talk to it like you would someone who got on your nerves. Talk to your fear like someone who stole your stuff. Give your fear a piece of your mind. Basically, tell it off!
Don’t let that fear hold you back.
The next time that fear tries to rise up and hold you back, make it an object in your room, point to it, walk by it with an attitude and let it know, I AM walking confidently in the direction of my dreams.
P.S. It’s not until you walk past it and do the thing you are afraid to do that the fear will release it’s grip…or maybe you will release your grip of it.
