Power’s Purpose

The one with authentic power is not overbearing, nor does she aim to control the direction of the tide. Instead, she expresses humility, surrendering her choices to the flow of life.

Like a river, she yields when necessary and course corrects when guided. Her power comes from her trust in Divine Guidance; because of her trust she is confident in the flow’s direction. She accepts correction as learning and knows that enemies are reflections of her own need to grow.

With authentic power comes surrender to and alignment with life’s flow. Being an embodiment of these characteristics makes one great in the eyes of others and nourishing to those who follow.

Power then, serves the purpose of shaping your growth to benefit the highest good of all.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, reflect on your leadership by noting how everyone around you thrives in relation to your presence. If you cannot honestly say everyone, then re-evaluate your characteristic and consider humility.
