If you are a leader, you have nothing to prove.

Your words need not be forceful, neither your ways bullish.

There is no need to gather accolades, nor do you seek to dominate others.

As a leader, the more you serve the growth of others, the happier you are. Your wealth is birthed from your giving.

You are a Master—one who is skilled at navigating the inner will for the benefit of all; one who is willing to humble herself for her growth; one who finds joy in surrendering to life’s leading—if you are indeed a leader.

If you are a leader, your beingness is your proof.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, assess your posture. Are you working to prove to others that you can accomplish great things? If so, why are you spending time proving your worth, when your value is already within? If you are proving yourself, this is your question to wrestle with.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my third reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
