Effectual leadership is harmonious. True harmony is in sync with life’s flow.

Leadership that is harmonious  welcomes the flow of ideas from others and emits rays of genuine support. The leader is firm in her foundation, yet flexible in actions.

Leadership that is harmonious does not force the direction. It expands with wisdom as lessons are presented on the path.

Because the leader is flexible, supportive and open to wisdom, her aims are made possible.

Leading harmoniously with life’s flow brings balance to thoughts and actions, thus yielding success.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, try this experiment. Select one non-high stakes thing you’ve been trying diligently to control. Take a break from controlling and see what happens. Notice there is a flow that ultimately yields the highest good for all involved. Continue to expand this experiment until it becomes your natural practice.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
