Do You Love Yourself Enough?

“Feed your faith and your doubts will starve to death.”

My Uncle Les said that. I like to think of Les Brown as my uncle, mainly because we share the same last name, but I have no idea if I’m related to the man. Regardless, I love listening to him and I LOVE his story.

He often speaks of being labeled as educable mentally retarded, having failed school and not having what some would consider the proper credentials, but despite what could be viewed as severe lack, he pursued his goals and succeeded.

When you hear him, it’s obvious that he succeeded by loving himself enough to NOT repeat the words of the “negative Nancys” in his life. Instead he chose to be self affirming.

If you want to succeed at pursuing your goals, you MUST decide that you will speak life to yourself. You MUST decide that the only voice that matters is your own. And you MUST decide that you will only be self-affirming.

Decide now and say, I AM self-affirming.
