Detachment, Discomfort and Inner Peace

| The Tao Chapter 9 – My Fifth Interpretation|

The desire to control is rooted in fear of surrendering. Control offers comfort, but surrender creates discomfort. Nevertheless, attachment to an expected outcome leads to a disruption of inner peace.

Chasing approval is from a fear of not being enough. Surrender to the idea that you are and allow bonds to form naturally.

Overdoing anything is from a fear of not doing enough. Surrender to the idea that you do and allow the outcome to be.

Seeking external security is from the fear of not having enough. Surrender to the idea that you have enough in this moment and allow the rest to find you.

Be yourself, do your due diligence and have contentment; then rest in the discomfort of detachment so inner peace can rise.

LIVING THE TAO: Which of these areas require your attention for the sake of your inner peace? Be honest with yourself and attend to it.
