| The Tao Chapter 29 – My Third Interpretation|
It is true that there is a time for everything. Humor has its time, likewise solemnness; activity and rest; glee and anger.
Since this truth is irrefutable, it is wise to conserve the energy of combativeness. Allow things as they are, knowing that the current state shall pass.
Likewise, allow people to be who they are without trying to control them.
Master your ability to ‘go with the flow’ and allow the flow to usher in the changes in time.
Stay centered in this knowing. Peace of mind will be your reward.
LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider how stressful it is when you attempt to control each aspect of a situation. Would the situation have passed without your meddling? Since all things pass with time anyway, is the stress of controlling worth it? After your consideration, answer, what will you do differently next time?
My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my third reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
Embrace your journey. Experience bliss. Live the Tao.
