Cease Striving

The flow of life does not require strenuous effort, yet it accomplishes its purpose.

Those who center themselves in this principle are poised to reshape the world by their example.

What would the world be if leaders grounded their being in the life’s flow? People would be joyful in who they are. Striving would cease. Harmonious living would be their experience.

If you are not life’s flow nor do you control it, is strenuous effort required to accomplish your purpose?

Peace begins when striving ceases.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider something you’ve been working hard to achieve. Have you fulfilled your requirements? If not, do so and when you have, walk away. Allow the outcome to be what it will be accepting that whatever it is, it is what is best for you.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
