To fully embrace the experience called the flow of life means you are not moved by distractions. Though fear and doubt may visit you, your heart’s surrender to life’s flow prevails.

If you live in surrender, your life is without pretense. If your family does the same, your family prospers. Imagine a united body of people allowing life’s flow to consume them; they’d be an example to the world. And if the world did the same, the distractions that consumes man would cease.

What evidence is there for this claim? You.

Live in surrender to life’s flow and experience the wonder of its invisible hand. Then you will see that this wonder is available to all.

Be your world’s example. Surrender your distractions away and inspire others.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider one thing you worry about and ask yourself, “What would happen if I stopped?” Try it. Every time the worry returns, deeply exhale the words, “I surrender (name the situation) to life’s flow.” Experience how you feel immediately afterward and as time passes. Also observe how the circumstance works out. Your distractions will cease over time.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
