| The Tao Chapter 12 – My Fifth Interpretation|

The trappings that surround you can numb your awareness of your true self.

The senses deliver desire to the mind and the heart yearns.

With the yearning comes the happiness of gain or the sorrow of want. They are temporary distractions.

Your truth is not in what you gain or your desires. Your truth is who you are.

Allow yourself to awaken to your Source within.

Release attachment to your yearning because it weakens your connection. Strengthen your connection with an open heart—open to how life unfolds for you.

LIVING THE TAO:  Are you upset or saddened that you don’t have a desire? Focus less on that and more on opening your heart to what you do have—your power source.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my fifth reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
