A More Noble Posture

| The Tao Chapter 69 – My Third Interpretation|

Thinking of someone who opposes you as your enemy is the beginning of your defeat.

Your mind becomes fixated on retribution, and your heart is established in fear. Your posture is weakened.

Instead, view this person as your opportunity to demonstrate your attributes as a leader.

Remain fixated on the vision. Exhibit patience in the challenge. Be an embodiment of compassion. With these three, your thoughts and feelings transform, and you experience victory.

Shift to a more noble posture and you will win.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, think about who you have labeled as your enemy. How can their opposition be used to advance your posture by shifting your mind and heart? Allow the answer to emerge then do that.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my third reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
