Manipulating for success is similar to failure. How? They both offer the same feeling of having an unstable foundation.

Hoping can be similar to fearing. How? They both require expectations that can consume your thoughts and take you away from enjoying the process.

Is this to say do not care for success and relinquish hope?

No.

But it is to say that with integrity in your thoughts, words and deeds, you can know that ultimately, the results will be in your favor.

You can also have the peace of mind to enjoy the process.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, be aware of putting yourself in a situation where you will later feel the need to tell a partial truth. You’ll be hoping for manipulated success, resulting in fear of things falling apart because of your unstable foundation. Act with wholeness instead.
