| The Tao Chapter 74 – My Second Interpretation |
All things change and are constantly evolving, therefore, what sense does it make to cling? People. Situations. Ideas. Elements of nature. All things.
The need to cling to what is fleeting is rooted in the fear of losing.
But how does one lose what was never truly owned?
All things pass away with time. Therefore, it is better to immerse yourself in the flow and experience joy than create the misery that comes with controlling.
Before you came you were not in control, and neither will you be after you are gone.
The only true control you have is of your mind. Guide it in the direction of joy so that you may enjoy this experience called life.
LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider what is not going your way and how that makes your feel. Do you want to continue feeling this way? You don’t have to. Choose to allow the issue to resolve in alignment with life’s flow. Choose to release your attachment to the outcome. Choose to feel good. It’s all a choice.
My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.
Embrace your journey. Experience bliss. Live the Tao.
