Success | Sheron Brown http://sheronbrown.com Inspiring bliss. Sun, 01 Aug 2021 17:10:10 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.0.21 http://sheronbrown.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/sheron_optavia_profile.jpg Success | Sheron Brown http://sheronbrown.com 32 32 An Ease-Filled Life http://sheronbrown.com/an-ease-filled-life/ http://sheronbrown.com/an-ease-filled-life/#respond Sun, 10 Feb 2019 18:51:34 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=25213 | The Tao Chapter 81 – My Fifth Interpretation|

The truth is not palatable to those who are not ready.

Wisdom, when shared requires no need to be proven.

Giving from a heart-felt place adds joy to the experience.

Authentic service to others makes one rich with rewards.

This is how Life’s flow works for you: honesty, wisdom, joy and rich rewards. The more you accept, the more it will give; the more you give, the more you will receive.

LIVING THE TAO: Humble yourself to receive feedback you do not enjoy and allow yourself to grow from it. Hold your tongue for the truth speaks. Be a blessing for others and you will be blessed. Flowing with Life is this manner makes for an ease-filled life.

In 2018 my focus was to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. Now I continue into 2019 with my fifth reading. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.

Embrace your journey. Experience bliss. Live the Tao.

Grateful for Your Presence http://sheronbrown.com/grateful-for-your-presence/ http://sheronbrown.com/grateful-for-your-presence/#respond Sat, 26 Jan 2019 12:20:15 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=25140 | The Tao Chapter 66 – My Fifth Interpretation|

Position yourself to add to others for it is through humility and service that your authentic power is amplified.

If you are given the opportunity to lead, it is not by wielding your power to the detriment of others that you become great. Your greatness rises because you, with clear intention, delicately hold the care of others as you guide them toward their own greatness.

When you lead with your authentic power, no one is harmed because of you and no one is lessened. On the contrary, others are uplifted by your energy and grateful for your presence.

LIVING THE TAO: Leadership doesn’t begin with a title. It begins with you. How do the people you interact with engage with you? Are they grateful for your presence or trying to escape it? The answer to that question provides guidance for your next steps.

The Master’s Way http://sheronbrown.com/the-masters-way/ http://sheronbrown.com/the-masters-way/#respond Thu, 03 Jan 2019 12:54:14 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=24968 | The Tao Chapter 43 – My Fifth Interpretation|

The softness of water melts away the hardness of stone.

The nothingness of air has room even where there is no space.

Your work is not about forcing. Diligence and intention along with patience and acceptance—this is non-action, doing without doing, working with ease.

This is the way to accomplish without strife.

LIVING THE TAO: Stress is the result of worrying about the future. Chronic stress is the result of continued worrying. Rather than wear yourself down that way, follow the Master’s way instead. Do without doing.

Creating Your Masterpiece http://sheronbrown.com/creating-your-masterpiece/ http://sheronbrown.com/creating-your-masterpiece/#respond Tue, 18 Dec 2018 10:52:32 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=24833 | The Tao Chapter 27 – My Fifth Interpretation|

An artist is clear about her ‘what.’ Her intention is to create art. The writer is sure that with her pen she will craft a story. But both allow the genius of Life’s flow to author the ‘how’ of creating their masterpiece.

Neither are attached to the process. Both let go of the how and allow. Both alleviate the suffering of worry. Both allow the magic of Life to flow through her.

Learn from the artist’s way. Be clear about your intention, but allow the genius of Life’s flow to author your how.

You too can alleviate your suffering of worry and allow the magic of Life to flow through you.

LIVING THE TAO: Do you find yourself beleaguered because of the need to control all details, spending precious time wondering how to make a circumstance work the way you want? Your heart would love it if you released the squeeze of stress and allow the how to naturally take shape.

Self-Inflicted Stress http://sheronbrown.com/self-inflicted-stress/ http://sheronbrown.com/self-inflicted-stress/#respond Sat, 15 Dec 2018 17:08:07 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=24817 | The Tao Chapter 24 – My Fifth Interpretation|

An unsure foundation leads to imbalance.

The absence of deliberation leads to haste and waste.

The need to outshine others leads to your light being dimmed.

Certainty that only what you can control is real is the basis of shaky ground.

Trying to exert power over others reveals the lack of power over self.

Simply put, control and attachment to outcomes lead to dust. Allow Life to flow in its natural progression for your mind’s peace.

LIVING THE TAO: Are you stressed out trying to control events around you? If yes, you are inflicting suffering on yourself. Why are you doing that? Re-evaluate your need to control.

Why Openness http://sheronbrown.com/how-to-get-in-flow/ http://sheronbrown.com/how-to-get-in-flow/#respond Fri, 14 Dec 2018 12:37:05 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=24809 | The Tao Chapter 23 – My Fifth Interpretation|

Being honest with myself means not allowing self-deception to seep its way into my thoughts.

How do I ensure this?

Through openness.

Be open to experiences as they come.

As I become one with each experience, I become receptive to the benefits and lessons they bring.

As I am more honest with myself, I move into deeper alignment with Life’s flow.

LIVING THE TAO: What have you been avoiding? Listen to your responses. Do they sound like excuses? If so, self-deception has taken you out of alignment with Life’s flow. Choose to be honest with yourself, and allow more ease in your experiences.

Show Up for the Extraordinary http://sheronbrown.com/show-up-for-the-extraordinary/ http://sheronbrown.com/show-up-for-the-extraordinary/#respond Sat, 08 Dec 2018 15:28:40 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=24721 | The Tao Chapter 17 – My Fifth Interpretation|

You can be a leader who is loved, feared or hated. It is up to you.

If you help people to feel valued, you’ll be loved.

If you contribute to the anxiousness of others, you’ll be feared.

If your presence generates suffering within others, you’ll be despised.

In a space where people are encouraged to shine, there in that space will be extraordinary accomplishments.

It all begins though, with how you show up as the leader.

LIVING THE TAO: How are people responding to you? Pay attention. With their actions, they are telling you who you are as a leader. Do you need to change?

Inexhaustible Greatness Within http://sheronbrown.com/inexhaustible-greatness-within/ http://sheronbrown.com/inexhaustible-greatness-within/#respond Tue, 27 Nov 2018 12:02:12 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=2812 | The Tao Chapter 6 – My Fifth Interpretation|

Life’s flow is like the unseen energy that carries an ocean’s wave. It moves through the water, providing all that is needed by all life within it. Because of  this flow, the magnificence of a wave is born and reborn. The energy never runs out. It is never emptied. Likewise the wave.

As with you, life’s energy provides all that is needed to allow the greatness within you to be born and reborn.

The life energy within makes your greatness inexhaustible.

LIVING THE TAO: Answer this for yourself: how am I choosing to use my greatness today?

What need is there to prove your value? Your worth speaks for you and that is all that is required. Otherwise, you increase your suffering.

Why collect things for the sake of boasting? Better you do well for others and save yourself from the worry of keeping your things.

What benefit is there in controlling? Do your portion then let go. Otherwise, you invite stress.

Know who you are, do well for others and allow life to unfold. This is the way to master the art of living.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, I invite you to reflect on the first, second and third interpretations along with this fourth and ask, are there any shifts you are prepared to make today in relation to aligning with the art of living as shared in the Tao?
