Love | Sheron Brown http://sheronbrown.com Inspiring bliss. Sun, 01 Aug 2021 17:10:10 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.0.21 http://sheronbrown.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/sheron_optavia_profile.jpg Love | Sheron Brown http://sheronbrown.com 32 32 What If? http://sheronbrown.com/what-if/ http://sheronbrown.com/what-if/#comments Thu, 28 Nov 2019 14:31:18 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=25290 What if I am here to simply experience the joy and magic of co-creating my life with God?

What if I am here to simply experience the fun of witnessing the wonders of nature in this physical dimension?

What if I didn’t come to save or change the world?

What if I just came to experience existence in this form and while here I have fun co-creating in a way that benefits others?

What if all the pain and suffering has been because of the belief that there is something more I came to do and my trying “to do” has been the source of my pain and suffering?

What if my grand purpose was simply to come and be, and in my being–with the gifts, talents and strengths I’ve been given and the interests I’ve accumulated–I co-create a joy-filled existence for myself while being a blessing for others?

What if suicide happens because striving for some illusive ego-designed construct made the pain of not having the object of the ego’s desire so unbearable that people just could no longer bear the pain of striving?

What if they missed out on why they were here to begin with–to simply experience the joy and magic of life?

What if problems weren’t problems, but just experiences happening around us that gave us the opportunity to witness our personal power as we navigate our way through them?

What if the isms–racism, sexism, ageism, genderism, all the isms–were simply ego-constructed concepts presenting as problems that aren’t problems, but were experiences to witness our personal power as we navigate our way through life?

What if love only hurts because we force something that is already natural?

What if while experiencing the joy and magic of life we simply allowed love to happen?

What if these things were true?

What if you lived like these things were true?

What if?

Today is a good day to reflect on life as you give thanks for it. So, reflect. Release pain and allow joy.

Why Honor Another http://sheronbrown.com/why-honor-another/ http://sheronbrown.com/why-honor-another/#respond Thu, 02 Aug 2018 11:23:10 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=2193 | The Tao Chapter 51 – My Third Interpretation|

Imagine a red cup dipped in the vast ocean to scoop a measure of water; then an orange, then a yellow. Next imagine the three cups being separated by distance. In their own spaces, the cups represent their individuality through color, and appear separate and distinct because of distance, but one thing unites them all. The content of their vessels come from and IS one source.

Likewise, all beings are like these cups. They represent their individuality in their own spaces, but their content—their essence—is the same Source.

As different and separate as we appear, within our vessels we carry the same content.

What resides within us came from and returns to the same ocean. What then should we make of our journey of the in between time?

Master the ability to honor yourself in others.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, contemplate today’s Tao to answer its question for yourself. The thing that resides within us came from and returns to the same ocean. What then should we make of our journey of the in between time?

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my third reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.

Embrace your journey. Experience bliss. Live the Tao.

Love Affair with Life http://sheronbrown.com/love-affair-with-life/ http://sheronbrown.com/love-affair-with-life/#respond Mon, 11 Jun 2018 11:00:11 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=1759 | The Tao Chapter 80 – My Second Interpretation|

Is your work so wonderful that you rarely ever want it to end?

Is your home so peaceful that you rarely ever want to leave?

Are you so content with your surroundings that you spend time appreciating its aspects?

Are you so compassionate that people want your presence?

Are you so aware of who you are that peace can overwhelm you?

If worry, anxiety, stress or other suffering erodes any or all of these areas, then today you can begin again.

You can choose to have a love affair with life.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, allow yourself five minutes to sit with and appreciate something in your life—your home, a friend, the work you love, something. Put it on your calendar. Lift your energy with five minutes of gratitude and the transformation of your life would have begun.

My 2018 focus is to intentionally live the Tao Te Ching. This is my second reading of Stephen Mitchell’s translation. I share my daily interpretations hoping to inspire you to do the same.

Your Primary Lesson http://sheronbrown.com/your-primary-lesson/ http://sheronbrown.com/your-primary-lesson/#respond Sun, 13 May 2018 11:05:57 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=1166 | The Tao Chapter 51 – My Second Interpretation |

Every individual you encounter represents a soul that entered into the flow of life upon their conception. There is not one person that is exempt.

This is a binding factor between us all. Together, you are on the journey of life with everyone. Despite what you think or feel toward those in your sphere, this truth is inescapable: you are on this journey together.

It is easy to love those who love you. It is not as easy to show compassion toward those who challenge you. Nevertheless, you originated from the same place and share the most important quality: your connection to Source, God, Divine Energy. Therefore, recognize that everything that takes you away from this truth is a distraction.

The flow of life takes us all back to our true nature, our original source. This connects us all, and makes the demonstration of compassion our primary lesson.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, consider someone who you believe makes life difficult for you. Close your eyes envisioning compassion—whatever it looks like for you—circling your heart, then your entire body, then you and that person together. Continue to visualize until you notice a change in thought or feeling toward them. In that moment ask, what can I do differently right now, to show more compassion?  Then do that. You have the power to make what feels uncomfortable, comfortable.

Lead Like Water http://sheronbrown.com/lead-like-water/ http://sheronbrown.com/lead-like-water/#respond Sat, 05 May 2018 10:11:09 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=1128 | The Tao Chapter 43 – My Second Interpretation |

Love and water are similar. Both are substantive without form, gentle yet at times jarring, cleansing due to their nature. And from both, life’s lessons can be learned.

The wise choose to learn from both, and also teach as both.

Your being can follow the templates of love and water. They teach in their flow.

Through your flow, life-giving lessons can be taught.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, set the intention to lead by example—without words—then observe the results of your influence.

Make Life Easier http://sheronbrown.com/make-life-easier/ http://sheronbrown.com/make-life-easier/#respond Thu, 26 Apr 2018 11:06:42 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=1088 | The Tao Chapter 34 – My Second Interpretation |

The invisible hand that does the work of unfolding your path is everywhere.

Its work is the flow of life to which no claim of ownership can be made.

Love is present with it. There we are nourished as we journey on the flow.

It is around you, yet in your heart. Establish your being in the center of your core so you can experience ease and grace.

The workings of this Great Spirit mandates that life’s path will unfold, so why not flow with it? The invisible hand is already working for you and is ready to work with you when you are ready.

LIVING THE TAO: Today consider a circumstance where you feel you have been swimming upstream. Have you been fighting against your inner knowing? Release your need to win. Go with the flow and see how that works instead.

Honor Being Human http://sheronbrown.com/honor-being-human/ http://sheronbrown.com/honor-being-human/#respond Mon, 23 Apr 2018 10:22:25 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=1074 | The Tao Chapter 31 – My Second Interpretation |

The person who values peace avoids the tools of violence because she honors the humanness of all.

With peace, there is contentment; without it everything is an obstacle and everyone is an opponent.

She who values peace does not rejoice when others are harmed and resorts to physical violence only when absolutely necessary, but with a heavy heart.

A tool of violence though, is not only a sword, but also words—they too wound and kill.

Favor peace, showing concern for another who is human, such as yourself and do not delight in doing harm with the tools of violence.

Honor the humanness of others instead.

LIVING THE TAO: Today when you are agitated and cutting down another with words either orally or mentally, stop. See them as a human with a soul like yourself and search for their perspective. Allow your soul to see theirs.

How to Surrender http://sheronbrown.com/how-to-surrender/ http://sheronbrown.com/how-to-surrender/#respond Mon, 02 Apr 2018 10:51:40 +0000 http://sheronbrown.com/?p=977 | The Tao Chapter 10 – My Second Interpretation |

How does one maintain an even mind in all things? Or remain flexible to outcomes with no attachment? How do you stay centered in your Source despite the seasons of your life, or lead others without exerting control? How do you allow what matters to you to take its own course? How do you fully let go and allow life’s flow to carry you?

Surrender, dying daily and love.

This is the only way.

Then how does this become your normal?

Daily practice builds your strength.

LIVING THE TAO: Today, pick one thing that matters to you and consciously let go of your desired outcome while holding the intention that the result benefits all.

Unspoken, yet universal is our obligation to each other.

Embody compassion. Embody integrity. Think beyond yourself.

How would you care for your own? Care for others the same.

As I read Stephen Mitchell’s translation of the Tao Te Ching daily, I reflect and document my interpretation with the intention of living the Tao.

The seed of universal wisdom just is in its being-ness, yet it accomplishes.

Imagine a world where all people align with this seed; we would all experience the joy of being. Striving would end. Harmonious living would be allowed.

Let today be your day to allow peace.
