The Tao Chapter 22 – My Interpretation
To be honored and revered, be unpretentious and respectful.
To receive recognition and prestige, seek to serve with humility and compassion.
To live as the fullest expression of your Self—your Highest Self—humble your lower nature.
To have it all, want only for wisdom.
The wise knows this: make the universal laws of life the home of your heart so that you become a model for others. Simply Be the truths of compassion, honesty and humility with pure intentions to serve, and you will be a beacon. All that you touch will be as pure gold.
The wise knows these words are pregnant with truth: being an embodiment of the universal laws of life makes way for you to live as the fullest expression of your Self.
As I read Stephen Mitchell’s translation of the Tao Te Ching daily, I reflect and document my interpretation with the intention of living the Tao.
