The Tao Chapter 17 – My Interpretation

The ways of leadership for you to choose.

Be wise, leading without leading.

Be loved, leading with charisma.

Be feared, leading with a stick.

Be despised, leading without heart.

When the people are sickened with lack of confidence in their abilities, it is a result of the leader.

When the people feel whole, honored and work cohesively as one, it is a result of the leader.

Which leader will you be?

As I read Stephen Mitchell’s translation of the Tao Te Ching daily, I reflect and document my interpretation with the intention of living the Tao.
