The Tao Chapter 29 – My Interpretation

You do not have the power to improve anyone. The individual is its own being and transforms according to its own will.

Likewise, the world.

Unlike a device, the world is not an object to be fixed by tinkering with its parts. Like the individual being, tinkering is simply interference with the evolutionary process.

There is a time for everything on the continuum of life.

She who is wise knows that without tinkering, the evolutionary process still occurs. So, she holds her peace and allows.

As I read Stephen Mitchell’s translation of the Tao Te Ching daily, I reflect and document my interpretation with the intention of living the Tao.
