The Tao Chapter 13 – My Interpretation
Striving for a goal in your own strength is destabilizing. There is no foundation. Better to be grounded in your true power—the power of Spirit—versus the strength of your ego. Your foundation is in your true power.
False beliefs are created when you think too high or low of yourself. Both lead away from your path. This thinking is from the detached-from-Spirt egoic mind creating delusions of grandeur or delusions of demise. Better to not think high or low of self.
Embrace that there is a flow to life and let it happen. Take the ride knowing that you will have the experiences that are best for you and those connected to you. This way you are free to live (achieve), laugh (free from fear) and love (care for humanity.)
As I read Stephen Mitchell’s translation of the Tao Te Ching daily, I reflect and document my interpretation with the intention of living the Tao.
